The Evergreen Freedom Foundation provides analysis of budget and tax issues in state government. Our emphasis is on Washington state, though the practices and policies we recommend can be used in any state.

Our work focuses on four areas: 1) identifying the core principles of government and developing state budgets around those principles, 2) determining unnecessary, fraudulent, or wasteful spending, 3) instituting performance-based audits to ensure efficient, effective and economical program expenditures, and 4) ensuring that tax policy is just and doesn't attempt to change personal behavior or punish economic success.
