Property Rights Center

America’s Founders knew that freedom was an empty word unless ordinary people had the right to own, enjoy, use, and bequest property. But dangerous erosion has occurred in this bedrock American principle. In every state, and at every level of government, personal property rights (intellectual and real property) are under assault.

This is a battle we cannot afford to lose. For that reason, EFF has now launched a Property Rights Center, with the mission of:

  • Restoring an individual’s ability to own private property without fear of unwarranted government encroachment; and

  • Teaching citizens and government leaders about the paramount role of private property in freedom and prosperity.

  •
    The Property Rights Launch with special guest Suzette Kelo.
    To accomplish this mission, we will:
  • Conduct in-depth research on land use policies to provide tools and solutions;

  • Tell the stories of people who became victims of well-funded special interests whose end goals required seizure of private property;

  • Serve as a clearinghouse for strategy and for building momentum to win this battle;

  • Hold government leaders accountable; and

  • Where necessary, provide the intellectual ammunition for litigation.

  • We want to hear from you
