WASHINGTON STATE'S PAYCHECK PROTECTION REPORT

ABOUT US

The Paycheck Protection Report is a service of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation.   EFF is a non-profit public policy organization which has existed since 1991.  In our history, we have analyzed state budgets, investigated government fiscal practices, developed health care policies, assisted in a non-governmental poverty program, studied education policy, and examined transportation options.  Our involvement in "paycheck protection" has been a recent development, but as an organization we are active on issues of citizenship and governance.

The Paycheck Protection Report is part of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation’s efforts to help teachers understand the truth about what is happening to their rights as a result of their union's activities.

Upholding the rights of all citizens—including teachers—and helping to create responsible government is the focus of EFF's efforts.  Period! We are not trying to sell insurance.  We are not trying to form an alternative union.  We are not trying to destroy public education (our executive director is a former principal).  We are not trying to "steal the voice from working families."  We are not trying to reintroduce the flat earth theory in public schools.  Nor are we trying to destroy the WEA.

We are simply saying that the political clout of the WEA should not come at the expense of the civil rights of educators, nor should it remain concealed from the citizens of the state.

For information about EFF's other activities see our website at www.effwa.org
