The $100,000 lump-sum contribution was made in addition to over $60,000 WEA had already contributed. Although it is only June, WEA has poured in excess of $164,000 cash and in-kind contributions into I-732. As stated above in 1999, WEA contributed over $84,000 to the then existing teacher pay initiative. These two initiatives bring the WEA total cash and in-kind contributions on this single issue to nearly $250,000. This money comes from WEA members dues and non-objecting agency fee payers, not from voluntary contributions to WEA-PAC.
